I’m going to see Terri Clark and Vince Gill at the Grand Ole Opry this Friday. Yay for only living two hours from Nashville.
And when I say “country music”, I don’t mean the stuff they play on new country radio nowadays. Yuck. My cutoff is the late ‘90s.
I’m a huge fan of classic country. Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Alabama, etc.

The real question is who is opening?
Also I’m a huge fan of the Opry(and older county music) which is way more rare for a Nashvillian then would be expected.

Not huge country fan but liked what I heard of Vince Gill and Terri Clark* in the ‘90's. If I’m not mistaken, didn’t both have alcohol issues they’ve overcome?
*had the hots for her back then

Bill Anderson or Riders in the Sky not opening is sad but that’s a great lineup otherwise.

I’ve seen Bill Anderson several times. He’s awesome.

He’s funny and a legend. Riders in the Sky are like a comedy musical act though. Lot’s of fun. Last time I went these were my seats courtesy of a Samsung Potato5 before I got the iPhone

You mention Vince Gill and Terri Clark but not the great Ricky Skaggs? REALLY!?!?!

Honestly I didn’t know he was there until I looked up the full schedule. We won these tickets.

Modern “country” stations are why I listen to talk radio.

I saw Skaggs at a really small venue last year. I was standing dead center about 20ft from the stage. Best show I’ve ever been to.
